Welcome, to the 2019 NFL Sports Tank Mock Draft! This year's project is a bit different, Sports Tank hosts Tank Spencer and Jeremy Greene predict, prognosticate, and preach about which direction each team should take with their 1st round picks! Pick-by-pick, Jeremy (odds) and Tank (evens) will analyze and tantalize, giving hope to every fan that their team won't lay an egg.
1. Arizona Cardinals (JG)
DE/LB Nick Bosa, Ohio State
Let me preface this with the fact that the Cardinals are going to select QB Kyler Murray. They shouldn't. Bosa is the best player in this class and it's not really close. Bosa is an elite edge rusher with outstanding balance and skill that is reminiscent of Von Miller. He would fit ideally with Chandler Jones and give the Cardinals an unparalleled ability to get to the quarterback. That said, they will select Murray and unload Josh Rosen to Washington for a day 2 selection.
2. San Francisco 49ers (TS)
DE Josh Allen, Kentucky
I guess, we have to preface this with the fact that the Niners will get their pick of the best edge rushers in this draft, after the Cardinals take Kyler Murray. That guy is Nick Bosa. However with Bosa gone in THIS exercise, the Niners would be just as thrilled to put Josh Allen opposite Dee Ford (13 sacks in 2018). Allen had 17 sacks his senior season, and will be a Pro Bowler at the next level.

New York Giants
QB Kyler Murray, Oklahoma
The Jets are desperately seeking to trade down and with their top two choices off the board, they find a partner in their cross town rivals. The Giants find they're quarterback of the future who they never planned on being here. Murray is an electric playmaker who will pair with Saquon Barkley to form the nucleus of the Big Apple rebuild.
4. Oakland Raiders (TS)
DT - Quinnen Williams, Alabama
John Gruden won a Super Bowl 16 years ago with one of the best defensive tackles to ever play the game. Williams should be better, and that pains this Bucs fan to say. I wouldn't put it past GM Mike Mayock to trade out of this spot (Indianapolis?). But if he doesn't, he should take a kid that might be the best all-around player, not named Nick Bosa, in this draft.
5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Devin White, LB, LSU
New defensive coordinator Todd Bowles gets the quarterback for his defense. Losing Kwan Alexander to San Francisco hurt, but, replacing him with a younger three down linebacker will take a lot of the sting away.
6. New York Jets (from NYG)
Ed Oliver, DT, Houston
The Jets' trade with the Giants would work wonderfully. They would get two draft extra picks and still land a top 3 talent. Ed Oliver is a man-child. His junior season theatrics aside, he's as solid of a choice as anyone here. In practically two-and-a-half seasons in college, Oliver amassed 53 tackles for loss. He has both the ability to get in the backfield before the QB sets to throw and chase down a runner downfield. New Jets DC Gregg Williams can have field day with a talent like this... he did with Aaron Donald in LA.
7. Jacksonville Jaguars
T.J Hockenson, TE, Iowa
The Jaguars have to give their new franchise quarterback some weapons and Hockenson is the best skill position player in this draft. Hockenson is a good, not great, athlete but truly sets himself apart with his ability to block. This gives the Jags a threat in the passing game and should help Leonard Fournette get back on track as well.
8. Detroit Lions
Jonah Williams, G, Alabama
Williams projects as long-term solution at a real position of need. His addition not only helps make holes for rising star Kerryon Johnson in the running game, but can help Detroit get what's left out of Matthew Stafford. Hopefully, without getting him killed. Since 2014 Stafford has been sacked at least 40 times every season.
9. Buffalo Bills
Jawaan Taylor, OT, Florida
This is really best case scenario for the Bills. Taylor is the best tackle prospect in this draft and could easily be gone by the time this pick rolls around. The Bills have to protect last year's first rounder Josh Allen and this could do that. The Bills are heavily interested in Ed Oliver, but, there is almost no chance of him being there at 9.
10. Denver Broncos
Dwayne Haskins, QB, Ohio State
Everybody knew the Case Keenum experiment was not going to pan out as the Broncos had hoped. Now, they get a chance to land a potential franchise quarterback who, it is reported, "impressed the Broncos' brass with his 'presence, intensity, and focus.' Haskins' stats at Ohio State were unreal, as he completed 70 percent of his passes. Accuracy is one of the biggest pluses for a developing QB. It's been three years since GM John Elway whiffed on Paxton Lynch. This pick might be an inside-the-park home run.
11. Cincinnati Bengals
Drew Lock, QB, Missouri
Make no mistake, this is a reach. That being said, new coaches mean new quarterbacks. Andy Dalton is one of the most overpaid players in the NFL and the Bengals have to take a swing if they want to be competitive in the AFC North. Lock is a player that truly "loves football" according to scouts and could end up being a franchise signal caller
12. Green Bay Packers
Montez Sweat, DE, Mississippi St
It feels like we've done something wrong, when a beast like 'Tez is NOT in the top 10. He's a freak on tape (22 sacks in 2018) and he blew teams away at the Combine, setting the new record for the 40-yard dash by a defensive lineman (4.41). He won't last this long in the real draft, and if he does, Green Bay can't resist adding a huge playmaker on a run-of-the-mill D-line.
13. Miami Dolphins
Rashan Gary, DE/DT Michigan
I'm going to say the same thing about Gary than Tank said about Sweat... He shouldn't last this long. Gary was the number one recruit inn the nation coming out of high school and was the first great coup of the Harbaugh years. While his numbers don't jump off the screen his film does. This would be a beat case scenario pick for a Dolphins team that will be one of the worst in the league in 2019.
14. Atlanta Falcons
Christian Wilkins, DT, Clemson
The Falcons could go in a couple of directions with this pick, but I am betting they'll go for a guy who is not only an outstanding football player, but a credit to his soon-to-be profession off the field as well. Wilkins has a phenomenal story. He's a guy that could've come out early, but returned to school. He got his bachelor's degree in two-and-a-half years, worked as a substitute teacher in Oconee County schools, is active in charity work, received a master's degree in December, and won a national title and numerous accolades in the process. Wilkins would team with Grady Jarrett? "Sign me up," says Dan Quinn.
15. Washington Redskins
Daniel Jones, QB, Duke
Case Keenum is the definition of a stop gap solution at quarterback. In Jones, the Redskins get a player that may end up being the best quarterback in this class. Duke coach David Cutcliffe has an incredible pedigree of NFL quarterbacks and Jones is next in line. After the Senior Bowl, several scouts were reported to have said Jones should be the first quarterback off the board. He won't be, but, the Redskins will be thrilled to procure him at 15.
16. Carolina Panthers
Brian Burns, DE, FSU
It's funny the guy who harps on the Panthers to retool their offensive line, doesn't go with a lineman. They need a wideout, and there is a great one available here. But, Ron Rivera finds a great replacement for Julius Peppers with the lankiest pass rusher I've ever seen. Burns looks strange, to me, on tape. He comes in at nearly 6'4'' and just 250(ish) pounds. He'll add some bulk and could be the next great end in Panthers' lore.
17. New York Giants
DK Metcalf, WR, Ole Miss
The Giants waste no time in getting Kyler Murray a weapon in the athletic freak DK Metcalf. He is the definition of a height-weight-speed guy, at 6'4" 228 with 4.33 speed. After losing Odell Beckham Jr, the Giants top two receivers are basically slot guys and they need someone that can win one on one. Metcalf comes with risk, he's tape doesn't match this selection, but, the potential is immense.
18. Minnesota Vikings
Cody Ford, T/G, Oklahoma
The Vikings were undone last year by the offensive line. They could add two or three in this draft. Ford played tackle at OU, but many feel he's best suited as a guard at the pro level. He's a massive athlete who can crush linebackers with a run block and at 330 lbs, makes it really tough for pass rushers to get around.

Devin Bush, ILB, Michigan
Tennessee is looking for an offensive lineman and we have a lot of those still in the board that they would be happy to slide down and acquire. The Raiders have watched the slide of Devin Bush and they have to take action in Mike Mayock's first draft in charge. In my opinion, there is not a huge difference between Devin White, who went at 5 to Tampa Bay, and Bush. They are both incredibly rangy three down linebackers that will be the quarterback of a defense for years to come. Bush is an explosive linebacker that I guarantee won't last past #20 and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
20. Pittsburgh Steelers
Greedy Williams, CB, LSU
Less than a year ago Greedy was projected, by some, as a top 5 pick. His ability to get to, stay with, and disrupt receivers is incredible. In just two years he racked up 19 deflections and 8 interceptions. He's gonna grow into another solid pro from DBU. I consider this a steal.
21. Seattle Seahawks

Indianapolis Colts
Marquise Brown, WR, Oklahoma
The Colts need another weapon for Andrew Luck and they most likely will Ned to get in front of the Ravens to get the one they want. The Seahawks have four picks total in this draft and I have no doubt they will trade down in Round 1 (again) to recoup some selections. Brown is an absolute burner and would pair well with TY Hilton and Eric Ebron to give the Colts a formidable set of weapons.
22. Baltimore Ravens
Parris Campbell, WR, Ohio State
The Ravens have little talent at the wide receiver position and the GM has said they'll take a few shots in this draft. They'll feel the pressure to get one here, because they won't pick again until late in the 3rd round. Campbell has blazing speed and good hands. The only real knock against him is he isn't a great deep-ball target. Seeing that Lamar Jackson will be his QB, that works out just fine.
23. Houston Texans
Andre Dillard, OT, Washington State
The Texans will be thrilled if this is how the draft goes. Their offensive line was a sieve last year and they have to protect their investment in Deshaun Watson. Dillard would be a high first rounder if he was stronger, but, he has amazing foot work and will be a great match with the mobile Watson.
24. Tennessee Titans (from OAK)
Dexter Lawrence, DT, Clemson
The middle of the Titans defense needs a lot of help. Lawrence is a 346-lb run -stopper, primarily. But he's also fast for his size. Not since Albert Haynesworth have the Titans had such an impact player on the interior.
25. Philadelphia Eagles
Chris Lindstrom, G, Boston College
With a playoff injury possibly keeping Brandon Brooks out next season, the Eagles need at guard has become even more drastic. Lindstrom showed good athleticism during the draft process to back up already solid tape. Josh Jacobs was a consideration here, but, the talent is close enough to give the edge to the bigger need here.
26. Seattle Seahawks (from IND)
Noah Fant, TE, Iowa
Noah Fant is speedy and sure-handed, but he doesn't block well. The Seahawks will probably waste his talent, much like they did with Jimmy Graham. But, it at least gives Russell Wilson another option, after making him the highest-paid player in the league.
27. Oakland Raiders
Josh Jacobs, RB, Alabama
This is as sure thing as we have in this draft. Jon Gruden loves to run the ball, has no bell cow running back, and loves Josh Jacobs. Jacobs is a power runner with feet nimble enough to make athletic cuts. He's reminiscent of Derrick Henry only more athletic.
28. Los Angeles Chargers
DeAndre Baker, CB, Georgia
Baker may be the best all-around corner in this class. He may not get to the ball quite as well as Greedy Williams, but his tackling is much better, in my opinion. Baker has not allowed a receiver to score on him since 2017. That's astounding. He's quick and physical, though too physical at times. All-in-all, a great grab here.
29. Kansas City Chiefs
Byron Murphy, CB, Washington
Same division, same position as the last pick and I feel like I get the better player. Murphy is the only corner, other than Greedy Williams, with star potential in this draft. He came out as a redshirt sophomore and would have been a projected top 10 pick in 2020. The Chiefs secondary was exposed in their playoff loss to the Patriots and with the pass rushing losses of Dee Ford (49ers) and Justin Houston (Colts), they will need all the back end help they can get.
30. Green Bay Packers
N'Keal Harry, WR, Arizona St
I'm giving Aaron Rodgers another big play target here. The Packers have Davante Adams and some "dudes." Harry's strong hands and freakish athleticism made for some eye-popping highlight reels. I like his chances of developing with one of the league's best throwing to him.
31. Los Angeles Rams
Garrett Bradbury, C, NC State
With the loss of John Sullivan in the offseason and Bradbury being the best player on the board, this truly seems like a perfect fit. Bradbury has shown very well during the draft process and his athleticism will fit in perfectly with the Rams offense. A defensive tackle to replace Ndamukong Suh is tempting, but, the depth at that position in later rounds makes this the decision.
32. New England Patriots
Clelin Ferrell, DE, Clemson
Bill Belichick has a stud edge rusher fall into his lap. I could see the Pats also trading out of this spot. The Bucs could trade their 2nd rounder and Gerald McCoy (since there are contract issues there), to grab Ferrell. However, this is a great gift that the Pats keep. Ferrell had 20 TFL as part of a national championship team last year. Now he gets an immediate chance to win Super Bowls. Let's go to Bill for his reaction...
