The New England Patriots have reportedly reached an agreement with wide receiver Romeo Doubs, sources with knowledge of the situation confirmed to ESPN's Adam Schefter and Jeremy Fowler during the NFL's legal tampering period on Tuesday (March 10).

"Sources: former Packers WR Romeo Doubs reached agreement today with the Patriots, per me and @JFowlerESPN," Schefter wrote on his X account.

Doubs, 25, who spent his first four seasons with the Green Bay Packers, can officially sign with New England at the start of the 2026 NFL league year on Wednesday (March 11) at 4:00 p.m. ET, at which point all 2025 contracts will expire. The former Nevada standout will join a Patriots receiving group that includes Kayshon Boutte, Mack Hollins, Demario Douglas, Kyle Williams and Efton Chism III after Stefon Diggs was released last week following one season with the franchise.

Doubs was selected by the Packers at No. 132 overall in the fourth-round of the 2022 NFL Draft. The 25-year-old recorded a career-best 724 yards, as well as 55 receptions and six touchdowns, both of which were the second-highest single-season totals of his career, in 2025.

Doubs enters his fifth NFL season with 202 receptions for 2,424 yards and 21 touchdowns in 52 starts and 60 appearances. The Patriots are the defending AFC champions, having lost Super Bowl LX to the Seattle Seahawks last month.
