A COVID-19 cluster at a Canton hair salon has grown by two.
Haywood County health leaders identified a cluster of 13 cases last week connected to Enchanting Hair Fashions.
The county's medical director said there are now 15 cases -- four employees, five customers and six family members. Dr. Mark Jaben said three people are hospitalized with some in ICUs.
He said the cluster started with someone asymptomatic entering the salon.
Jaben said this can happen anywhere and is a strong reminder of precautions to take, including wearing a mask. He said, from situations like this, the health department conducts contact tracing.
