O.J. Simpson has filed a lawsuit against Nevada Property 1 LLC, the corporate owner of the Cosmopolitan Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas following an incident that occurred in November 2017.
Simpson and his friends were having dinner at the Clique bar and steakhouse when a security guard approached his party and asked them to leave. Simpson claims he was given a notice that he was banned from the Cosmopolitan, but was never given a reason why.
News of Simpson's removal spread quickly, and TMZ reported that he “was drunk and became disruptive," citing anonymous employees who worked at the Cosmopolitan.
In Simpson's lawsuit, he denies the claims attributed to the employees and said that a police officer showed up at his Las Vegas house following the news reports. The officer conducted drug and alcohol tests to determine if he had violated the terms of his probation. Parole officers conducted an investigation and determined that Simpson did not violate the terms of his parole and found that the claims in the TMZ story were not accurate.
Simpson is not suing TMZ for their reporting on the story, and it unclear what he is seeking from Nevada Property 1 LLC.
